How to get Social Media Follow Icons in your sidebar - either vertically or horizontally

Ok, it has taken me FOREVER! to try to find a way to put SOCIAL FOLLOW ICONS (particularly the "F" for following my facebook page, and the little twitter bird on the right for following my twitter account.)
